ABOUT SHAWNI
Our CEO:
Shawni started as an apprentice in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 15 years ago. She is a black woman in a male dominated industry who has had her fair share of obstacles and hard-fought experiences. Those experiences motivated her to go beyond just working in the industry, and to set standards for the industry. Shawni has worked her way into leadership positions within the ranks of the largest union contractors on major projects all over the northeast coast. Her success in the industry is a direct reflection of her determination and skill set. She remained determined not let anything distract her from pursuing her lifelong vision of being a business owner and a visionary. She took what she learned throughout her career, received her Unlimited Master's License, and created Luminary Electrical Contractor, LLC. Her dream is to change the industry by creating a business that reflects a diverse and inclusive workforce that possesses the same skills as those who dominate leadership in the industry today. Her skills as an electrician and natural business sense, ensures Luminary's longevity in the industry.

Our Admin:
Tonya started with Luminary in 2023. She is a natural leader who takes pride in her ability to "make it happen". She has a wealth of administrative experience. She is our go to for all things administrative. She is also our first point of contact in providing a great customer experience. We are happy to have her as part of our team.

ABOUT craig
Our Project Manager:
CRAIG BRANCH is a native of Syracuse, NY, who joined Luminary Electrical in 2021 as our very first employee. Craig brings an extensive background in the electrical field. He has over 14 years of electrical experience. He began his career as an apprentice in the IBEW local 43 here in Syracuse. He spent a large part of his career as a foreman, giving him the skill set to take on the task of managing projects. Craig is eager to make an impact with Luminary and has ambitions to help the company grow. To this affect and beyond, Craig is really excited to be an integral part of the Luminary Electrical Contractor team.
